Life to the Full

The latest challenge at Salt is Life to the Full based on the verse John 10:10b “I am come that they might have life, and that they might have it more abundantly.”

A verse I added to the theme is Luke 6:38 “Give, and it shall be given unto you; good measure, pressed down, and shaken together, and running over, shall men give into your bosom. For with the same measure that ye mete withal it shall be measured to you again.” I believe this verse is a mirror of the Life we receive from Christ in which we then sacrificially give only to receive more and more abundantly.

  1. Amanda, what an amazing interpretation. I see something new every time I look! I thought of that same verse as well when I was doing this challenge. The Lord gives with a huge dump truck while I give with a teaspoon.

I so agree about the quantities in which we give and receive. God is so gracious.

  7. This is beautiful and a great interpretation of the verse for the challenge. You are such an inspiration, not that I need yet another creative outlet, but you make me think of expressing myself via paint and other mediums. I finally checked out the Salt site, definitely cool.

  9. Amanda,

I hope you had a blessed and wonderful birthday. I love your cupping running over with abundant life. There was an old gospel song… I can’t remember by whom (maybe the Oak Ridge Boys) that had as its chorus Luke 6:38… Faith THAT works itself out by allowing Christ to love others through us…

You do great work and thanks for linking to the Salt Blog ~
